Ganesha (Sanskrit गणेश, IAST Gaṇeśa;), or Ganesh, also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka, is one of the bestknown and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bali (Indonesia) and Bangladesh and in countries with large ethnic Indian populations including Fiji, Mauritius and Trinidad and Tobago.Ganesha or (Ganesh) is the elephantheaded god in Hinduism. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati. Ganesha is a very popular god in Hinduism, and was one of the most worshipped. Hindu tradition states that Ganesha is a god of wisdom, success and good luck. He is also the giver of different types of favors.
