A bindi (Hindi बिंदी, from Sanskrit बिन्दु bindú, meaning point, drop, dot or small particle) is a coloured dot worn on the center of the forehead, originally by Hindus and Jains from the Indian subcontinent. The word bindu dates back to the hymn of creation known as Nasadiya Sukta in the Rigveda. Bindu is considered the point at which creation begins and may become unity.Indigo is a deep and rich color close to the color wheel blue (a primary color in the RGB color space), as well as to some variants of ultramarine, based on the ancient dye of the same name. The word indigo comes from the Latin for Indian, as the dye was originally imported to Europe from India.
